Welcome To Long River Ventures

Long River Ventures invests in seed and early stage companies in healthcare, IT, and other technology-driven sectors. Formed by a group of experienced entrepreneurs and venture capitalist, Long River is designed and structured to invest smaller amounts of capital with typically initial investments of $500,000 to $1MM. We back exceptional entrepreneurs who are focused on building capital efficient businesses. We invest throughout the Northeast, both in the major venture markets of Boston and New York as well as in secondary markets in between. We have offices in Western MA (Amherst area), Central MA (Worcester), and a satellite office in Boston.

Within the healthcare sector we primarily invest in healthcare information technology companies, medical device, and diagnostics companies. Within the IT sector we focus on software companies, telecommunications, media, and internet companies. We also invest in cleantech companies, business services, and other businesses that are leveraging technology to drive long-term competitive advantage.

We manage $50 million through our first Funds (Long River Ventures and the Worcester Venture Fund) and now through Long River Ventures II.
